Spring sun is friendly, but shy and skittish.
It is bright and cheery and calls you to come out,
but to catch its warmth, you must sit
very still
in a quiet, sheltered spot.
The slightest breeze scatters the heat
before it can sink into your skin,
but if you lie down on a bench
stretched out
it sneaks up from behind.
So beautifully descriptive...gave me a smile when I needed it.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I can feel the sun! We are having the most amazing spring in Michigan. Lovely, Ruth. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing, sitting in warming sunshine. You captured it!
ReplyDeleteIt is like spring here where I live, too. Can't believe it is this warm in March. I sure will take it though!
ReplyDeleteThe breezes do scatter the warmth. I just have to find that bench. Glad you're back on your sofa.
ReplyDeleteGood. You wrote a poem. I'm glad.
